My Picks for SD61 Trustees

I have had several people say to me that voting for School Trustees is a waste of time. I say that any body in charge of an annual budget of $200,000,000 of our dollars is worth a little consideration and effort.

I will be voting for a change in this body as well. Transparency and accountability are sorely lacking in this forgotten contest and the following candidates are the ones I believe will best represent us on the District 61 (Victoria) School Board.

In order of preference they are:

• Diane McNally - incumbent (United SD61 slate)
• Jordan Watters (United SD61 slate)
• Ann Whiteaker 

• Rob Paynter (United SD61 slate)
• Deborah Nohr - incumbent (United SD61 slate)
• Edith Loring-Kuhanga  - incumbent (United SD61 slate)

Nine Trustees will be elected but I cannot support any other candidates based on their performance at the all-candidates meeting I attended and the voting record of the other incumbents.
